Natalie and Mario

This being my first Lebanese wedding, I don’t think I quite anticipate how hard these guys could go! And wow, Natalie & Mario.. What a night.

I caught up with these two the week before their wedding and it became clear to me just how excited they were for their special day, and how much trust they had in me.

On the morning of their wedding, it didn’t take long for me to identify the strong emphasis they both put on family, and the important roles each played in their relationship. As the night went on, between the many sets of Lebanese dancing, I managed to pull Natalie aside and pitch her an idea I had in mind to surprise Mario with.

With Mario’s father’s speech being in Lebanese, I saw an opportunity to surprise Mario with the inclusion of this particular speech - which I had translated & transcribed, and paired with key moments throughout the day.

A constant energy throughout the day set the tone for this film; with so many authentic and genuine moments shared, this one fit together a little too effortlessly.
