Natasha and Declan
Natasha & Declan
Linseed House, The Grounds of Alexandria
While watching back all 900+ clips from Tash & Dec’s wedding day, I felt pretty overwhelmed to say the least. I mean, how could I possibly pack all of that into just one film?
I had an idea of the direction I wanted to take this one in, although the early stages were challenging - as if I was trying to force a narrative, rather than allowing the footage to speak for itself. From when I arrived, there was dancing; and as the night went on, there was more dancing. That seemed a pretty good indication of how this one should come together.
I knew the film could be driven alone by that raw, energetic footage, through a collection of sounds, colours and emotions. From there it was only a matter of finding an engaging soundtrack to complement that vision; one which also had Dec's approval!
Having filmed the wedding of Jasmine & James the day prior, I arrived feeling pretty motivated and switched on. Fast forward 15 hours, and I was still on a high - with Natasha & Declan’s entrance especially giving me chills.
A wedding which will be talked about for generations, a party which will go down in history - and hopefully, a film that will be cherished and relived for many years to come. To Tash & Dec 🥂
